BIOMETRIC DATA CAPTURE FOR STUDENTS OF THE DISTANCE LEARNING CENTRE (DLC)

The Distance Learning Centre, University of Ibadan has introduced a Biometric Data Capture System and Electronic ID Cards for its students.  The system would produce an accurate record of students and prevent impersonations in examinations.

A.        The exercise is scheduled to hold as follows:
            i.  January 25  -  26   2010       Arts/Education
           ii.  January 27            2010       Science, Agric & Forestry
           iii  January 28  -  29   2010       The Social Sciences
           iv  January 30            2010       All Diploma Students
                                                         and spill over

B.        Venues:
            (i) Head Office of the DLC, Morohundiya Complex, Idi-ose, Ibadan for all  students resident in Ibadan and environs
            (ii) No. 1 Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos for all students resident in Lagos and Ogun Sta

C.       Cost

The cost per student is N1,500 but each student is required to pay N1,000 only while the Centre will be responsible for N500.00

Duplicate of Teller should be submitted at the designated venue before the exercise.

In addition, all students are advised to take note of the following:

        1. Students who fail to register within advertised dates will be required to pay the full cost i.e N1,500.00
        2. This exercise is compulsory. Students who fail to comply would not be allowed to take examinations.
        3. All students who have not completed their online registration are advised to do so before 31 January,
        2010 or forfeit their studentship in the Centre.Ensure that you complete your GES Registration too.
